Acuity has built, launched, and implemented the next generation of cloud-based cost engineering applications. Powered by Azure Government Cloud, our platform seamlessly integrates software applications for new construction cost estimating, existing facility renovation, alteration estimating, and model-based price and bill-of-material estimates. Developed by Acuity professionals, the platform is powered by machine learning and predictive analytics, promotes information sharing across functions and features easy-to-use dashboards.

By the time the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers took over management of the project, construction costs for the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center had skyrocketed, far exceeding original estimates. Acuity was engaged to assess the work that was left and develop an incident cost estimate to complete the facility.

After concluding an extensive project review, we defined the remaining work and used the resulting construction “to-go” assessment (along with construction drawings, labor information, schedule, and contractual data) to establish the scope and complete the estimate. The 12-building medical complex was finally completed and opened in 2018.

For decades Acuity has provided continuous program and project management for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management. Our full line of program management and construction services—which includes evaluating cost estimates, performance baselines, schedules, and lessons-learned documents—helps the office optimize performance on construction, decommissioning, and remediation projects. We also provide program-wide support that allows the DoE to analyze, evaluate, and report data on its capital asset project portfolio, identifying potential risks that could impact cost, schedule, and successful project completion.
